Tostados Supremo with Pork

Week 3 Meal 2 of our Hello Fresh journey. Whether it’s called tostadas or tacos, we are always excited to indulge! With our previous experience with poblano peppers, we couldn’t wait to see what this dish tasted like.

Lessons Learned:

  • Don’t forget to flip the tortillas! We definitely forgot and they ended up ballooning.

  • Get a Pastry Brush! It makes spreading oil over tortillas so much easier with much less of a mess.

  • Read the ingredients to these Spice mixes. You may have all the spices to make future “Southwest Spice”, which we did!

We ended up adding an extra side of instant rice with cherry tomatoes to add to our meal. Very easy meal to cook. The ground pork cooks just like ground beef and much faster than Joe has anticipated. We thought this meal was going to be spicy with all the spices and peppers that went into it but to our surprise, it wasn’t. Overall, a very good dish.
