Beef Bulgogi Meatballs
Week 3 Meal 1 of our Hello Fresh journey. We were especially excited for this meal as it reminded us again of the Korean Bowls we used to regularly consume. Although not quite the same, as this was an interesting take creating meatballs out of bulgogi. Nevertheless, we had high hopes considering both of us profoundly enjoy bulgogi!
Lessons Learned:
Add Ginger to Rice TO TASTE. Following the instructions, we added half the minced ginger batch to the rice and felt the ginger was a little overbearing.
This dish did not live up to our expectations. Perhaps due to an error in the cooking process on our part, however, something was a bit off with this dish. A multitude of flavors combined that we weren’t sure meshed quite well with each other. If there was one simple way to change this recipe for us, it would be to use plain white rice in place of the ginger rice.
